Blessed Names

What name shall we give 
That our babes may live 
A life of good deeds 
As God’s fruitful seeds 

Let’s bless every child 
As their name is filed 
To carry through life 
Whatever their strife 
 
Their name gives their place 
And more than their face 
Is the definition 
Of life’s destination 

So pray with no shame 
When choosing a name 
Think not of beauty 
But to do God’s duty
